About 20 minutes by car (~5km) from JR Nippō Line Miyazaki Station (JR日豊本線宮崎駅下車). Nearest bus stop is '宮崎運転免許センター' (route/schedule via the local bus company). Only this Miyazaki center accepts all foreign-license applicants; the Miyakonojo (都城) and Nobeoka (延岡) license centers handle only applicants exempt from the knowledge/skill confirmation (知識、技能の確認が免除される方のみ).

A preliminary review (事前審査/予審) reservation by phone is required before the skill test. Call the Miyazaki center and select navi-dial option 2 (license testing). Applicant numbers have surged recently and the booking queue is several months long (予約待ちが数ヶ月待ち), so early contact is advised.

NOTE: the official conversion page states conflicting times — '13時00分～16時00分' in one section and '10時から17時まで' in another; the exact window is not reliably confirmable from the source.

No official foreign-language or interpreter service is provided. Applicants not proficient in Japanese conversation must bring their own interpreter to the venue (日本語の会話が堪能でない方は、必ず通訳のできる人と一緒に来場して下さい).

Fees follow the standard driving-license test fee schedule (運転免許試験手数料一覧); specific conversion amounts are not listed on the official conversion page. Note: license-procedure fees were revised effective 2025 (令和7) March 24. Not independently confirmed for the conversion procedure.

Residency in Miyazaki Prefecture is required (住所が宮崎県内の方). A mandatory preliminary review (事前審査) precedes the skill test, with a current multi-month waiting list.
